Art. 187 of the Swiss Criminal Code defines sexual acts with children as the act of engaging in a sexual act with a person under 16 years old (i.e. a 'child') or, the fact of inciting or involving a child to commit a sexual act. Sexual acts with children in Switzerland are punishable by up to five years in prison or a monetary penalty.

Sexual harassment

Article 198 of the Swiss Criminal Code defines sexual harassment as causing offence by performing a sexual act in the presence of another who does not expect it, or sexually harassing another person through physical touching or the use of indecent language. Considered a contravention, sexual harassment is prosecuted only upon the filing of a criminal complaint and is punishable by a fine.
