GENEVA SEX CRIMES ATTORNEY

Sexual Offence Defense Law Firm in Switzerland

Switzerland Sexual Offences Law Firm

In Switzerland, sexual offences or sex crimes are some of the most serious felonies and subject to severe penalties. Sex crimes cases are complex as they often boil down to the accuser's word against the accused's. Unfortunately, false allegations of sexual offences are common in Switzerland. Beyond the devastating effects that they have on the wrongly accused's lives, false allegations affect the real victims of sexual offences, too: when false allegations garner attention, they can perpetuate harmful myths about the prevalence of false reporting, making it harder for real victims to come forward and seek justice.

Our Geneva criminal law firm has made the conscious choice of focusing its work on defending individuals who are falsely accused of sexual offences and representing genuine victims of such sexual offences.

As a former Swiss prosecutor, our Geneva criminal defense lawyer Shayan Farhad brings unparalleled expertise and offers the best criminal representation you can ever get. Trust FARLEGAL to fight for your rights and navigate the complexities of criminal law with expertise, professionalism, and integrity.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I do if I am being falsely accused of a sexual offence?

If you are accused of any form of sexual offence, remain calm and composed, seek legal counsel, collect evidence, challenge the credibility of the accuser, and find witnesses to corroborate your story.

Whatever you do, it is imperative that you do not contact your accuser. Contact us right away so we can start applying a strong defense strategy.

  • How does the firm tackle false rape accusations?

If you are faced with false rape accusations, our Geneva law firm will implement a proactive and aggressive defense which will essentially center around proving consent (if a sexual encounter did occur) and/or challenging your accuser's credibility.

  • How can the firm assist in proving consent?

Demonstrating consent is imperative in false rape allegations. This may involve producing evidence such as witness testimony, text messages/emails or other forms of communication that demonstrate the accuser's consent.

Proving consent can lead to the dismissal of criminal charges or even hold the accuser responsible for making false allegations. It is crucial to work closely with your rape defense attorney to gather and present the necessary evidence to exonerate yourself.

  • How can the firm assist in challenging my accuser's credibility?

Questioning the reliability of the accuser is essential in false rape accusations, as it can assist in demonstrating that the accusation is untrue and avert others from mistrusting genuine rape victims. Our Geneva law firm applies various methods to evaluate the reliability of the accuser, which may include procuring evidence and witnesses, inquiring into the accuser's motivations, and scrutinizing any discrepancies in the accuser's narrative.
